The climatic conditions in Epirus differ by region due to its varied natural environment. The mountainous regions are characterized by long, hard winters with heavy snowfall and low temperatures, with mild temperatures in the summer months. Lower elevations are characterised by frequent rainfall and cooler summers. The Mediterranean climate of the lowlands and coastal areas is quite different.

Here, the winters are mild, temperatures rarely fall below freezing, while in the summer, it is hot and it rarely rains. Due to the varying climatic conditions in combination with its combined natural environment, Epirus is a popular destination all year round.
