After checking out the famous stone bridge of Arta, a stroll among the beautiful neoclassical buildings of Skoufa Street is definitely in order, as is walking along the streets perpendicular to that one, streets that tell the story of the city and house many of the shops worth visiting.
Head to Ethnikis Antistassis Square, a major meeting point also full of shops and many cafes to catch your breath at. If visiting the temple of Panayia Parigoritissa, do not pass on observing the handmade ceramics in the temple’s shop.
Every end of September, the “Emboropaniyiris” trade fair is held, a national fair at the Exhibition Center of Arta where one can find a large variety of local products, including the delicious citrus fruits of Arta. Oranges, tangerines, lemons and their derivative products fill your trip with beautiful sights, flavors and scents.
