Paragliding, or as we often call it in Greek “parapente”, is a real adrenaline boost, especially when it is combined with incredible views of the Nature, the villages and the sights of Epirus.
Take flight over the straits of river Acheron, test your endurance on the Vrachos beach in Preveza, take off from Mt. Mitsikeli and see Ioannina and Lake Pamvotida from above.
Large rocks and hills are usually suitable for this type of activity and often demonstrations and international competitions take place in Epirus. There are designated runways for paragliding in Profitis Ilias in Konitsa and in Asprangelos, Zagori.
