Beaches of Thesprotia

Thesprotia has some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Crystal-clear waters, exotic local colour, and wealth of natural resources are just some of the reasons that the area is buzzing with visitors in the summer.

The picturesque coves, small harbours, the variety of beaches to suit all kinds of visitors, serve to place Thesprotia among the holiday destinations sought after by the larger travel agencies. One of the most popular corners of the coastal region is Strovili Beach, which is in the northernmost part of region, ideal for a peaceful, relaxing time. It is near the village of Sagiada. The clear waters and green hills just some of the elements that will take your breath away.

Three kilometers from Sagiada is Keramidi Beach, a quiet beach with azure blue waters, white pebbles, and lush vegetation, elements that create exceptionally beautiful surroundings. There, apart from swimming, you can enjoy coffee, drinks and sample the local cuisine.

Drepanos Beach is near Igoumenitsa, 5 km outside the city. It is a relatively small beach, 7 kilometers long, which rewards its visitors with fine white sand and crystal-clear shallow waters.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the region can be found at Sivota. Piscina (Blue Lagoon) Beach on Mavro Oros Island opposite is accessible by small boat, giving visitors the chance to admire the most beautiful natural surroundings.

In the same area is Bella Vraka Beach, which lies opposite the other island, Agios Nikolaos. One advantage here is that it can be easily reached on foot, over a sandy pathway through the waters.

Our recommendation: A visit to Agia Paraskevi Beach, the most picturesque in the area. It is a stone’s throw from the island, which you can easily swim to. You will enjoy the thick sand and crystal blue water.
